The SMART organization; in conjunction with Congress, the Federal Executive Branch HQ Agencies, our International Allies and senior State officials conducts a variety of general and focused Science & Technology events throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for the technical community.
Since 1999, we have conducted 300 significant events, supported by many working sessions among our 15 Focus Groups and 3 Committees.
The overarching purpose of SMART events is to support collaborative efforts towards funded project execution. SMART events can also be a platform for addressing cutting edge technology issues related to regulatory and funding legislation.
SMART priorities are defined by annual, individual State-wide meetings in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to identify States’ priorities and then followed by winter and summer Capitol Hill Forums with the Congressional leaders to determine the regional priorities.
